Work is underway on a new contract to deliver phase two of Distell, a state-of-the-art warehouse and blending facility in East Kilbride.
Appointed by Muir Construction, the contract includes delivery of M&E works and fire & security services.
The Distell Group is South Africa and Africa’s leading producer and marketer of wines, spirits, ciders and other ready-to-drink beverages which are sold across the world. Brands include Scottish Leader, a blended whisky, Savanna cider, Two Oceans wine and many more.
The new project is an extension to the existing building including all the M&E works. The installation of lighting, power, fire alarms, security system, door access, lightning protection, ventilation and all building management systems are in place to suit the requirements of the new building and tank farm.
All fittings will be Atex rated as it is classified as being a hazardous area.
