TRIO EMBARK ON NEW APPRENTICESHIP

Three young people have embarked on their first career steps as apprentice plumbers with Glasgow based Alexander Group.

Declan Gallagher, Kieran Malone and Liam Edgar have joined the company’s apprenticeship programme.   The trio, who were presented with starter toolkits on their induction day, will undertake class-based training at Glasgow Clyde College’s Cardonald campus, as well as hands on practical training within the company’s M&E division.  At the end of their apprenticeship the boys will be awarded an SVQ Level 3 certificate in Plumbing & Heating.

Stewart Alexander, Managing Director of Alexander Group said, “We had great interest in our apprenticeship programme this year, but Declan, Kieran and Liam showed real enthusiasm and commitment, as well as competently passing their entrance tests, and we’re delighted to welcome them to the team.”

The company’s apprenticeship programme recruits annually for its plumbing, electrical and fire & security divisions and takes pride in offering employment to these apprentices once qualified as part of its organic growth.
